For the production of window joinery, wood is specially prepared, because the technology of manufacturing the glued wood profiles demands careful preparation of materials.
The first stage is the selection of raw material - the best wood is selected, without knots, grey and discolored spots.
Then the wood is subjected to a drying process (up to 12-13%, depending on the species of wood) and impregnation (against fungi and against mold.)
After the preparation, the boards are glued in three, four layers, and then laid in such a way, that the internal stresses appearing in the wood abate each other, and the profile remains straight.
