Step inside the Back Door Saloon and enjoy a hometown bar and restaurant with beautiful views of Houghton Lake. Colin grew up in Houghton lake and has a love for the town, the lake and people. Operating the bar as manager is Jennifer Benson. Jen makes the BEST Bloody Mary & enjoys meeting new people and chatting with the regulars. In effort to bring our bar back to being the best place for food and drinks in Houghton Lake, improvements & updates have been made to the interior, deck, and bathrooms.
We have installed a beautiful new wood bar top, a garage door with indoor/outdoor seating and several rustic-themed fixtures. Large new windows facing the lake offer unobstructed views of Houghton Lake while you dine from anywhere in the bar. Or when the weather permits you can chill out on our "pontoon" deck with a cocktail. We also have many flat screen televisions to watch all your favorite sports events.
