They started installing garage doors in response to a need by another local company that built pole buildings.
Running the office out of their home, the couple stored doors at Grandpa Hanenburg's farm in Lamont, MI.
It was difficult to start the business with their first son, Mark, just a baby.
They had a lot on the line and worked very hard to start this business.
In 1986, they moved the doors warehouse into a new pole barn on 3rd Avenue near Standale.
