Strafford Window Manufacturing, Inc. is a family owned business located in Strafford, NH. We manufacture any size sash, transom, single hung window unit, transom hopper, hopper window unit or fixed window units that you request. All our products are made with high quality eastern white pine and single strength glass. Each window is custom built and we strive to exceed all of our customers' expectations on quality and cost.

Our sashes are made of all wood.
The stiles and rails are 1 3/16" thick x 1 11/16" wide.
Muntins are 1 3/16" thick x 11/16" wide.
Sashes are screwed together with zinc plated screws.
The sashes are true-divided-lites.
Stiles, rails and muntins are molded on both sides of the single strength glass (2.5 mm thick) There is a small bead of clear latex silicone caulking where the glass meets the wood on the outside of the window to make them weathertight.
A sash window is a wooden frame that holds panes of glass which are normally separated from other panes (lites) by a muntin(s).

Our screens are all custom made to fit any size Hopper Window Units or Single Hung Window Units made by Strafford Window Manufacturing, Inc.
Made with charcoal fiberglass mesh and a white aluminum frame which is 5/16" thick x 3/4" wide.
Screens are held in place with 2 black screen plunger push pin latches.

Prime the wood first with the sealing primer by running the paint slightly onto the glass.
This will seal all the frame work from rain water and will prevent the finished coat of paint from being absorbed into the wood ensuring a even gloss or sheen on the finished product.
