In 1964, a group of parents opened the first integrated kindergarten in Augusta, GA.
No child was turned away due to their ethnicity or religion.
It was the only school with an 'open door' policy and was entirely administered by the parents.
For more than 50 years, Open Door Preschool has continued to provided a nurturing environment for children 14 months through Kindergarten.

Open Door Preschool offers half-day programs for children ages 14 months to five years old.
Flexible options allow parents to have mornings off while their children receive excellent educational experiences.
Class sizes range between 10-15 students with 2 teachers in the younger classes.
Our small class sizes ensure that students receive individualized attention.
