We are a husband and wife duo. Our story is simple and a little sweet. We have a great love for trying new things so we dove head first in the world of letterpress and haven't looked back. Every year we travel to the same red door to take a family photo and hope to carry on the tradition for years to come. For us letterpress has same effect - we want to keep the craft alive for decades to come.
We specialize in hand-printed cards, broadsides, social stationery, gig and event posters, corporate branding, workshops and much more. Established since before 2012, our small shop is located in the wonderful city of Des Moines, IA at Mainframe Studios, Studio 120. Deep down we just have a great love of type, printing makes us happy, and we just like red doors.
The Red Door Press also carries are own poster and greeting card line that you can shop from online, in studio or around one of the local markets or available for wholesale! Pressing On: The Letterpress Film, a feature length documentary about the survival of letterpress printing.
